The last group of elements of the Syrian armed factions left their opposition with their families in the southern suburbs of the Syrian capital Damascus , thus ending the operations of the evacuation of the opposition gunmen from the capital and its environs, where only the militants remained "Daash" organization.

The director of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, Rami Abdul Rahman, said that "the convoy is on its way to the opposition areas in the north For the first time since 2011, Damascus and its surroundings are free of any faction opposed to non-organization calling."
"Fifteen buses carrying hundreds of members will leave with their families in the towns of Yilda, Babila and Beit Samh in the south of Damascus," he said.

In the meantime, there is a continued presence of militants "Daash" in the Yarmouk camp and the adjacent Black Stone neighborhood.

Syrian forces have been waging a military campaign for weeks to drive militants out of the area.

Members of armed factions in Yilda, Babila and Beit Samh accepted to leave the area under an evacuation agreement with the Syrian regime.

Some 8,400 people have left the three towns since the deal was signed a week ago.

Thus, a pocket near the city of Homs remains the only remaining besieged stronghold in the country, although armed opposition factions still control areas of land in northwestern and southwestern Syria.
