The spokesman of the ministry, Hazem Mohammed Ali, told "Al-Sabah" that the General Company for Telecommunications has completed the project of wireless switching and installation of wireless telephone lines in the area of the marshes of Dhi Qar province, as part of efforts to improve the services provided to citizens in support of the file of marshes joining the list of heritage Global. He explained that the total capacity of the exchange amounted to 60 thousand subscribers to cover the marshes exclusively for wireless services, noting that the total cost of the exchange amounted to five billion dinars. He stressed the establishment of all technical and logistical possibilities for the project of the exchange and was equipped with modern electrical devices with the creation of a place for power generators that contribute to the operation, as well as the establishment of common pipelines for the gas used for generators with the establishment of a water system. The spokesman of the ministry to receive three post offices exceeded in Nineveh province through joint coordination with the provincial council and the Directorate of Communications and the Notary Public and the competent security authorities.
