Iraq and Azerbaijan sign memorandum of understanding on economic , industrial and agricultural cooperation
BAGHDAD / JD / .. Ministry of Commerce announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding for joint cooperation in all fields between Iraq and Azerbaijan.
The ministry said in a statement received / JD / copy of which was held in the Azerbaijani capital Baku, the first session of the Commission on Iraq – Azerbaijan common during the period of 3rd-4th this month, asserting that session resulted in the signing of a memorandum of understanding for joint cooperation in all fields of economic, industrial , trade, agriculture and other fields that are in the interests of both countries.The ministry added: that the minutes of the memorandum signed by the Iraqi Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Communications Minister Mufti Torhan and signed by Azerbaijani Minister of Communications and IT Ali Abbasov.
She explained: record joint expansion of bilateral economic relations between the companies and institutions of the two countries and discussed the possibility of export of agricultural production and food products and construction materials to the Iraqi market, as well as open channels of communication between the ministries of education in both countries as a prelude to the signing of a memorandum of understanding on the recognition of university diplomas between the two sides, as well as signing Convention on the Prevention of double taxation in addition to cooperation in the field (culture, air transport, Arts and Tourism, Youth and Sports).According to the statement, expressed the Azerbaijani side expressed optimism for the signing of this memorandum important for the Republic of Azerbaijan, stressing that Iraq is a big country and an important rich and has a weight in the world, which we should be proud of what has been reached him through the signing of this MoU, which serve the interests of the two countries.
For his part, the Iraqi side expressed the same desire to activate the memorandum of understanding signed between the two countries on 7/12/2012 in order to conduct the start of direct flights for travelers between the two countries.
