BAGHDAD (Reuters) - US President Donald Trump is looking for an Iraqi prime minister loyal to him and hostile to Iran, US political analyst Hafez al-Bishara said on Tuesday.
Al-Bishara said in a statement to Al-Maaloumah that "the Iraqi political forces have followed the wrong traditions that believe that the best result is the participation in the government and the acquisition of ministries," noting that "the American envoy recently acted actively among the various forces, Kurds, Sunnis and Shiites, and they want to go to the direction of others and wisdom and trying to support this bloc. "
He explained that "the best for all countries, is to respect the sovereignty of Iraq and wait for the results of national forces without pressure, where this is dangerous, and therefore the meeting Vandak Babel was the result of foreign intervention in this direction."
"The Trump program in its wars with others and its problem with Iran has begun to affect the political process in Iraq. The president is looking for a prime minister who declares his hostility to Iran and his loyalty to the United States, and works to harm Iran's interests," al-Bishara said. Ending / 25 n
