Shuaq: Basra Council "failed" and the debts of the province reached "160" billion dinars

Karim Shawak, a member of the Basra Council, on Friday, that the province suffers from the accumulation of debt, which amounts to "160" billion dinars, since the time of its former governor Majid Nasrawi.
Shawak said in a press statement that [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/8850/%D9%85%D8%AC%D9%84%D8%B3 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%A8%D8%B5%D8%B1%D8%A9]the Basra Council[/url] is unable to serve its citizens because it is run by party leaders and political blocs in Baghdad.
He said, "Shawak," The government of Basra has suffered several setbacks since the time of the victory did not rise, while the Council remained without a president for more than a year, stressing his lack of confidence in the procedures of the provincial financial, administrative and legal, he said.
"The visual decision is lost and the members of the council are not looking for the interests of the province and they have no will or vision and all they are doing is carrying out the orders that come from the decision-making centers in the capital Baghdad."
