    BAGHDAD - The legal expert Ali al-Tamimi said on Saturday that the transition from the parliamentary system in Iraq to the president needs to amend the constitution and transfer powers from legislative to executive.
    "The transition to the presidential system in Iraq needs to amend the Constitution in accordance with Article 1, and the procedures provided for in Article 126 Constitution," said Tamimi, for "the eye of Iraq News," noting that "the transfer of the many powers given to the Parliament to the President of the Republic contained in Article 61 including the proposal of draft laws and appointments for special grades and also has the power to dissolve Parliament Article 64 Constitution.
    He added that "the most important is the method of electing the president is directly from the people every 4 years, in the sense that the powers of parliament to the President and this needs to amend the Constitution by referendum."
    He pointed out that "the presidential system clashes very much with reality, which is very difficult and any parliamentary system to succeed in countries needs an advanced economy and social welfare and otherwise deviates from its course and may lead to civil war." Finished
