Shafqat News / The House of Representatives voted in a session on Wednesday to appoint Mohammed Jaafar Mohammed Baqer Haider al-Sadr as ambassador in the Iraqi Foreign Ministry.
Sadr is the son of Shi'ite cleric Ayatollah Mohammad Baqir al-Sadr, the founder of the Islamic Dawa party in Iraq, who was executed by Saddam Hussein and his sister.
During the meeting, Speaker of the House of Representatives Mohamed Al Halbousi invited the Foreign Affairs Committee to host the Foreign Minister and in the presence of the Presidency to submit a detailed report on the termination of the State positions by proxy and fill the vacancies with regard to ambassadors and send them to the House of Representatives.
