"Twilight News / Kurdish blocs in the House of Representatives, on Monday, to the federal government, including the demands of the victims of the Kurds.

"The decades have passed, and our hearts are still suffering, and our wounds are bloody and bleeding, so the departed have no return, and the rest do not have them. This is a very serious crime, but a series of crimes that the martyr wanted to call the Anfal," the blocs said in a statement.

These crimes, which began in the early seventies with the displacement of the Babylonian Kurds, were followed by the killing of unarmed civilians in Qal'at Daza and Halabja in 1974. The regime then recorded a dangerous precedent in the history of humanity by its brutality using chemical weapons in Halabja, Karadagh and other areas in Kurdistan To the arrest and killing of thousands of Barzani, to the peak of the destruction of more than 4500 villages and the burial of (182000) of the defenseless civilians and the displacement of tens of thousands of people and the theft of all their property in successive waves of military operations in a number of key stages,

Sulaymaniyah and besieged the area of Sarka Lu on 23 February until 19 March 1988.

The areas of Kardag, Bazian and Derbandikhan on March 22 until April 1.

Karamar, Bounur, Kefri, Douz, Sankau and Kader Karam districts on 20 April of the same year.

Within the limits of the plain (Zei Bjok) ie the area of Koya and Tatak, Aggler and Nushwan, on March 3 to May 8.

Surrounding Shaqlawa and Rawandas on 15 May and 26 August.

Badenan, Amede, Akri, Zakho, Sheikhan and Dohuk areas, on 25 August and 6 September of the same year.
The fascist Baathist regime not only destroyed Kurdistan and committed the crime of genocide against the Kurds, but also its crimes, so that most of the population and components of the Iraqi people included Arabs, Turkmen, Assyrians, Armenians, religious minorities, Chaldeans, Shabak and others.

That the crimes of the Anfal Baathist means in our memory to name a few:

Mass murder of hundreds of thousands of unarmed civilians.

The use of chemical weapons against civilians in dozens of locations.

Total destruction of the assets and infrastructure of the rural economy of Kurdistan.

Total destruction of civilian objects such as schools, public buildings, water and electricity projects, and even places of worship (mosques and churches).

Arrest and concealment of all individuals living in the areas covered by the Anfal

Forced deportation of hundreds of thousands of villagers in harsh conditions, including thousands of women, children and the elderly.

Tens of thousands of villages and houses were destroyed and their inhabitants moved to desert compounds.

Scorched earth and the destruction of the natural environment.

Millions of mines planted in Kurdistan
Therefore, today we do not only recall the notorious crimes of the Anfal, but put everyone in front of their duty to strive to address their effects and alleviate the pain and consequences of those who remain victims, according to steps that are the core duties of the government and our duty as elected representatives of the people and the families of those victims, These operations were not just ethnic cleansing and genocides involving human beings, but even tree and stone. There was a series of measures that dealt with the effects of the Anfal operations.

Provide an official apology to the Kurdish people as the legal heir of the former regime.

The 14 th anniversary of the official commemoration of the Anfal crimes throughout Iraq.

Establishment of a special fund to compensate victims of Anfal and their families financially and mentally.

Inclusion of Anfal crimes within the curricula of Iraqi schools and universities and the allocation of fellowships to their families.

Establish a center to collect, preserve and translate documents relating to Anfal crimes and define them internally and globally.

Reconstruction of the destroyed villages as a result of these operations.

A commemorative memorial for the mourners was held in one of the main squares in Baghdad

The accession of the Republic of Iraq to the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court

Transfer of the Anfal file to international forums for the purpose of defining it as genocide
The Anfal will remain a black page, a bloody human wound and a disgrace to all those who have committed it and participated in its implementation and all those who have been silent about its condemnation, "according to the statement.
