the Iraqiya coalition's president, Iyad Allawi took over the post of
presidency instead of Jalal Talabani.
Omed Sabah, the official
spokesman for the Presidency of the Kurdistan Region said in a statement
today 17, Feb that "Some news sites published news talking about the
approval of the Presidency of the province, with a U.S. request that
Iyad Allawi take over Talabani's place".
He added: "We, previously, denied this news, and currently we deny it and this topic is baseless."
