[rtl]Al-Bashir called on the Iraqi government to recall the US ambassador in Baghdad and hand him a protest note after US President Donald Trump attacked the leader of the Islamic revolution, Ali Khamenei, who is a religious reference for many Iraqis.[/rtl]
[rtl]The movement said in a statement that "what was issued by a great insult to one of the respected religious references to Muslims in general and the Iraqi people in particular is a blatant transgression and is unacceptable."[/rtl]
[rtl]She added that "there is determination from the US President and the embassy behind the desire of Zionism to provoke the feelings of Iraqis and the tension between the relationship between Baghdad and Washington."[/rtl]
[rtl]The al-Bashir movement called on the US administration to issue an "official apology" and the Iraqi government "to summon the US ambassador and hand him a strong protest note."[/rtl]
