Iran: Iraq intends to organize the port "Sumar" but we have not received any message about the closure

KURUSH MAHMOUDIAN, (Reuters) - The governor of the Iranian city of Kelan Gharb in the western province of Kermanshah said on Saturday that no official message had been received about the closure of the Sumar port (Mandali) by the Iraqi side.
The news agency "Fars" Mahmudian comment on the news about the closure of the port of Sumar permanently by the Iraqi side, that "until this moment we have not received any letter officially and in writing from the Iraqi side in this regard."
He added, "The message regarding the closure of the port, which was contained in channels and media sites addressed by the Prime Minister to the head of customs in Iraq and that the address is not the Iranian government."
"According to what we have heard from the Iraqi merchants in the border of Sumar, it seems that the Iraqi side intends to organize this port and find the infrastructure in it," Mahmudian said.
