    Information / Baghdad..
Member of the Popular Legal Movement, Ahmed Shahid Al-Shammari, confirmed today, Monday, that the security agreement between Washington and Iraq ended in 2011 and that American forces are currently present under the international coalition agreement.
Al-Shammari told Al-Maalouma, “The presence of American forces on Iraqi soil is considered illegal after Parliament’s decision to completely remove them from Iraq.”
He added, "The presence of American forces on Iraqi soil requires a new agreement to be voted on by the House of Representatives, considering that Parliament is the body authorized to decide whether or not to extend the stay of American forces."
He pointed out that "the decision of the Iraqi Parliament to remove American forces is binding on the government, which no longer has any justification." Ended / 25 H
