    The Ministry of Agriculture announced on Tuesday that it is achieving self-sufficiency for 50% of the local needs of live chickens, indicating that there are poultry in production will cover the local needs of the country by 100% in a short period.
    Ministry spokesman Hamid Al-Nayef told Al-Maaloumeh that the hatchery projects that have been opened recently have contributed significantly to increasing domestic production of live chickens and covering the market.
    He added that "local projects currently cover 50% of the local need for live chickens," adding that "there are new projects in the production phase and others opened will begin production to go down to local markets within a short period."
