reports from the province of Babylon and the intensification of disputes between the governor Karrar al-Abadi and the head of the provincial council Raad al-Jubouri, against the background of the leaked audio attributed to the latter on dealing with demonstrations witnessed in the country.

This prompted al-Jubouri to issue a statement of denial, which said: "In response to the social networking pages of this day of the exemption of the presidency of the provincial council of Babylon, we would like to show that this news is untrue, which is illegal as the meeting was held today 11 am in the presence of a large number of demonstrators and the media and the demonstrators submitted their applications in print to the Presidency of the Council, which in turn presented to its members and the meeting was also adjourned in the presence of demonstrators and those wishing to make sure the session is fully documented and will be presented to the media.
