Arabs: There is no governorate council elections during the current stage

The deputy of the Construction Alliance, Hussein Saeed Arab, said on Thursday that there are no elections for governorate councils during the current stage, pointing out that the elections will remain hostage to the constitutional amendments that will take place and may include canceling the provincial councils permanently.
Arab said in a statement to the "information", that "the provincial council elections depend on the constitutional amendment that will take place during the next parliamentary session, as among these amendments will be the abolition of the provincial councils as an extra link."
He added that "the amendments will take place on the constitution with the approval of two-thirds of the members of the House of Representatives, as approval has been made on the articles to be amended, including the abolition of provincial councils."
He explained that "the need has been eliminated for the provincial councils, and there will be no elections for the councils during the current stage, and its fate will be decided after the constitutional amendments are made." 25 n ended
