The government freezes 84 people and entities for financing terrorism
Iraqi media reported today, Tuesday, that the Council of Ministers froze the funds of 84 people and entities accused of financing terrorism, by a decision issued by the Council of Ministers at the request of the United Nations Security Council.
In details, the Terrorist Funds Freezing Committee of the Secretariat of the Iraqi Council of Ministers issued a list of 84 people and entities whose funds were frozen on charges of financing terrorism, at the request of the UN Security Council, according to the Iraqi agency, "Baghdad Today".
The Iraqi agency published lists of the names of people and entities that had frozen their funds, based on what the Security Council Sanctions Committee announced regarding ISIS and al-Qaeda organizational activity, and the provisions of the Anti-Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Act.
