The governor of the Iranian province of Kermanshah (West), Hoshink Pazund, on Wednesday called on the authorities in the Kurdistan region of Iraq to agree to the re-export of goods through the border ports of Shushmi and Sheikh Saleh.
"The closure of the southern border crossings and Mehran and Khosravi (to curb the spread of the Corona virus) has imposed very difficult conditions on the Bruizhan border crossing," Pazund said in a press statement on the sidelines of a visit to the Berwez Khan border crossing between Iraq and Iran. There are 4,000 and 500 truckloads of export goods currently standing in line to leave this crossing. "
