The NATO mission in Iraq [NATO] congratulated the first team, Othman Al-Ghanmi [Chief of Staff of the Iraqi Army], and the team, Staff General Juma Anad, [the commander of the Iraqi ground forces] on the new appointments in the ministries of interior and defense.
"We have had the honor to work with them both during the last period of the mission in Iraq, and we look forward to continuing joint work with them in their new roles as ministers in the government of the Republic of Iraq," said a statement by the mission.
