The Ministry of Transport confirmed, on Wednesday, that Iraqi ports will soon restore their seat in the Mutual Maritime Emergency Center.
The technical agent of the Ministry of Transport, Talib Baish, said, according to the official agency, that "the Iraqi ports are in the process of regaining their seat in the mutual aid center for maritime emergencies after it was interrupted for the last period."
Bayish added, "The center, with its headquarters in Bahrain, includes the countries bordering the coasts of the Arabian Gulf."
He referred to "the safety of the crew of the Iraqi tugboat that sank off the coast of Saudi Arabia as a result of bad weather."
