On Thursday, the Ministry of Electricity announced the Gulf linkage path and the

He added, "The government has recommended the Ministry of Electricity to give official authorization to the Gulf Linkage Authority in order to complete the connection, which will be the lines' paths from inside the Kuwaiti territories and will be independent lines separate from the Kuwaiti electrical system, as the project will connect the two stations of Al-Faw and Al-Zour."
Concerning the Jordanian link, Moussa emphasized that "the idea was ripened by signing with the Jordanian side, and the discussion was also held at the level of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as by the visit of the government delegation to Amman," noting that "the ministry signed a contract with Jordan and transferred the work to General Electric."
And he indicated that "the time limit for this project in the first phase will be 26 months," stressing that "there is a survey currently underway for the lands because they contain war remnants, where the project will connect an existing reed line and the Qaim transforming station."
He continued that "work is underway to survey the lines' paths and lay down the connection points that will be established between Iraq and Jordan," noting that "the project consists of three phases, as the first stage establishes to connect an Iraqi, Jordanian, Egyptian, by transporting 150 megawatts to the western station, and in the second and third stages, it will reach 900 megawatts." ".
He pointed out that "the electrical interconnection projects are not only for the transmission of energy, but rather Iraq will be a corridor for the transfer of energy to other countries and vice versa, whether it is with the Gulf or with Jordan," explaining that "it may allow Iraq in the future to transfer energy from the sources to the countries of East Asia and may establish an energy market." Is open, and thus Iraq will benefit economically. "
