Today, Tuesday, the Parliamentary Investment and Economy Committee sent a letter to the National Investment Commission, asking about the recent achievements, and citing the questioning of its speaker in the House of Representatives.
The head of the committee, Riad Al-Tamimi, said in his message received by the National News Center: “To the President of the National Investment Commission, the first goal has been the success of your work, since you took over your duties, and we have struggled for the success of the investment with your presence,” adding, “Unfortunately, we noticed that you are working far from The Parliamentary Investment and Economy Committee, which is in direct contact with you.
He pointed out that "the committee has instituted lawsuits in the courts, against the previous body for the sake of change, and that matter was done through your choice, and we gave you a hand of assistance and cooperation afterwards in order to save the investment."
Al-Tamimi pointed out that “the commission’s work is limited to promises without implementing the investment law,” indicating that “the situation has reached the National Authority to the point of disrespecting the committee’s books, and you do not respond to any letter addressed to you by the committee.”
He asked: “What are your achievements in the National Investment Commission from the day you assumed the presidency of the commission and until now? What are the results of our meetings in order to implement Article 9 of the Investment Law.
Tamimi waved that "he will interrogate the head of the commission in front of the Iraqi people under the dome of Parliament."
