A statement by the media office of the National Security Adviser received by Alsumaria News stated, "Al-Araji conveyed to the Palestinian ambassador the positions of the supreme authority, the government and the Iraqi people in support of the Palestinian right," stressing that "all Iraqis stand with the brotherly Palestinian people in defending their legitimate rights."
For his part, the Palestinian ambassador thanked "the religious reference and the Iraqi people and the position of the Iraqi government, especially the position of the prime minister," noting that "the Iraqi people are an authentic people, and what they produce expresses their originality and the depth of their Arab and Islamic affiliation."
