    Yes Iraq: Baghdad

After Iraq recorded an unprecedented number of electricity production of 20,000 megawatts a few weeks ago, the energy produced fell due to sabotage operations and the lack of fuel to 17,000 megawatts, causing Iraq to lose 3,000 megawatts within a few days, but the country seems to be moving towards achieving a plan Electricity to achieve a production of 22 thousand megawatts.
Today, Friday, the Ministry of Electricity announced that electric power production has increased to 20,642 megawatts, confirming the low level of targeting electrical installations.
The ministry’s spokesman, Ahmed Moussa, said that “the ministries of Oil, Water Resources, Defense and Interior supported the work of the Ministry of Electricity by harnessing the emergency and protection regiments to secure the infrastructure of the electricity sector, which is still being targeted so far, but the targeting has become specific.”
He added that "the cooperative effort contributed to the presence of a supportive operations room for work and production stations, and to break the bottlenecks," noting that "there are government efforts to increase the gas supplied from the Iranian side, which led to the operation of some generating stations that were suspended, which contributed to encircling the crisis, and the advancement of electrical reality.
He stressed that "the load of the electricity system reached 20,642 megawatts, which is an unprecedented production, which reflected positively on the supply of electricity," noting that "what the system reached in terms of loads, it was supposed to reach through the periodic maintenance of equipment, and therefore the lack of Approval of the budget and not allocating funds for maintenance, has an impact on the level of generation and the decline in gas emissions in a certain time, as a result of non-payment of debts and operating stations with heavy fuel negatively affected their efficiency.
Moussa pointed out that "the ministry has competencies, departments and solid plans, which are being followed up by Al-Kazemi and the first deputy of the House of Representatives, Hassan Al-Kaabi, and therefore the ministry does not need the presence of experts as much as it needs international companies specialized in energy to develop the electricity sector."
With regard to exam halls and providing electricity during the exam period, he explained that “the recommendations were made that there be an increase in electricity for exam centers, for the purpose of passing exams.”
