The Ministry of Water Resources confirmed, on Sunday, that the Arab Ministerial Council for Water gave the green light to the Arab League to approach all neighboring countries to ensure Iraq's water quotas.
The ministry's spokesman and director of the National Center for Resource Management, Hatem Hamid, said in a statement reported by the official "Al-Sabah" newspaper and seen by "Economy News", that "the ministry asked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to internationalize the issue of water, as Iran has been cutting off the common rivers since last summer.
