According to Al-Kazemi’s office, Mawazine News received a copy of it, during the session, the events of the demonstrations in the governorates of Dhi Qar, Najaf and Diwaniyah were discussed, and the directives of the Commander-in-Chief of the former and current armed forces stressed the non-use of force or shooting, and the protection of peaceful demonstrators demanding their legitimate rights. .
Al-Kazemi directed the Joint Operations Command to investigate and take legal measures against anyone who violates the instructions.
According to the statement, it was decided during the meeting to assign the Minister of Interior to follow up on the issue of the demonstrations and the demands of the demonstrators, and to stress the commitment of all members of the security forces to human rights standards and the protection of demonstrators.
During the meeting, emphasis was also placed on expanding the efforts of training members of the security services in legal and humanitarian dealings, and methods of combating riots in accordance with legal means, and benefiting from international organizations and experiences in this field.
The meeting witnessed a discussion of security plans to pursue the remnants of terrorist cells, enhance the intelligence effort in this field, and follow up on military operations and intelligence efforts to track them down.
