    The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, discussed, on Wednesday, the general security developments in the country, and the measures taken to raise the level of efficiency and professionalism of the security services, while chairing the meeting of the Ministerial Council for National Security.
    A statement by Al-Kazemi's office, and Al-Nour News received a copy of it, stated that “Today, Wednesday, the Ministerial Council for National Security held a meeting headed by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, and during the meeting, public security developments in the country were discussed, and the measures taken to raise the level of efficiency and professionalism of the security services. , Whether at the level of institutions or individuals, in order to enable them to face major security challenges. 
    According to the statement, Al-Kazemi praised the "role of the security forces in confronting terrorist and criminal gangs, and their efforts to impose security and stability, stressing his full support for the army, police and all employees of the security services." 
    The statement added, "The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces stressed the importance of preserving community security, and not allowing attempts to encroach on public and private property, and at the same time the necessity of commitment not to use live ammunition during securing civil protests." 
    He continued, "The Commander-in-Chief also directed to expedite the provision of security forces with the equipment required to maintain security and order, in a manner that ensures the regularity of public life, and enables the security services to carry out their duties in a manner that preserves the lives of civilians and does not expose them to danger." 
    The council discussed cases of attacks on some service projects and electricity towers by criminal groups that threaten the national security of the country, and this matter will not be allowed and tolerated under any framework, and all measures are taken by our security forces to pursue these elements, according to the statement. 
    The statement stated, "The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces directed the necessity of the security leaders to be present in the field during the demonstrations, and to focus on protecting citizens and public and private property." 
    He pointed out that "the Council also approved the draft of Iraq's joining the joint task force in the Middle East and North Africa regions specialized in combating terrorism."
