    [size=45]Tehran/December 23/Iranian President Ayatollah Ebrahim Raisi affirmed that the Islamic Republic of Iran has always supported the formation of a strong and capable parliament and government in Iraq.[/size]
    [size=45]President Ayatollah Raisi, while receiving Iraqi Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein today, Thursday, in his office in Tehran, expressed his satisfaction with the holding of the parliamentary elections in Iraq in a calm and safe atmosphere, and said: The Islamic Republic of Iran has always supported the formation of a strong parliament and government in Iraq.[/size]
    [size=45]The Iranian president added: Protests against elections can occur in any democratic and popular system, but it is important that the protests take place as well as decide them within the framework of legal contexts.[/size]
    [size=45]Ayatollah Raisi stressed, “We consider any insecurity in Iraq as insecurity in our country.” He added, “Destabilization of security and stability in Iraq is unacceptable, and the principled policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran is to support stability in Iraq and the power of the government.”[/size]
    [size=45]On the decision to withdraw US forces from Iraq, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran said: This success is the fruit of the resistance of the people and officials in Iraq, because the Americans did not withdraw their forces from anywhere they entered except in cases where they faced popular resistance.[/size]
    [size=45]He thanked and appreciated the Iraqi government for its efforts to return the Iranian ambassador from Yemen, and said: The relations of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Iraq are based on deep and broad friendship and religious, ideological, cultural and historical partnerships.[/size]
    [size=45]In turn, the Iraqi Foreign Minister praised during the meeting the policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran that strongly supports the stability and security of Iraq and said: The Islamic Republic of Iran's support for Iraq's sovereignty and political stability is always appreciated by the Iraqi government and people.[/size]
