    {Economist: Al-Furat News} The governor of Dasht-e Azadekan city in Khuzestan province, Hamid Silawi, announced on Monday an increase in Iranian goods exports to Iraq through the Jabha border crossing by 266 percent in the first nine months, which began on March 21, 2021.

    Silawi added in an interview conducted by (IRNA), that "82 million and 306 thousand dollars of non-oil goods were exported to Iraq through the attractive commercial crossing during the past 9 months, which shows an increase of 266 percent compared to the same period last year."
    He explained that "during this period, 316,161 tons of goods, including vegetables, fruits, foodstuffs, aquatic products, building materials, household and mechanical goods were exported to Iraq from attractive customs, which witnessed a growth of 448 percent in weight compared to the same period last year."
    He pointed out that "the volume of goods exported from attractive borders in the same period last year was 57,681 tons, with a value of 22 million and 468 thousand dollars."
    It is noteworthy that work at the "Ghazabah" border port, which began in 2009, was designated to pass visitors, transport goods and merchandise shipments and provide services to businessmen in the two countries.
