    {Local: Al Furat News} The Minister of Transport, Nasser Hussein Bandar Al-Shibli discussed, today, Wednesday, with the Ambassador of the European Union Mission to Iraq and his accompanying delegation, the lifting of the European ban on Iraqi aircraft in European airspace.
    The media of the Ministry of Transport stated, in a statement that {Euphrates News} received a copy of it, that “during the meeting, which was attended by the Director General of the General Company for Iraqi Airways, the Director of Aviation Operations in the company and the Director of the Technical Department, in addition to the Director of the Air Safety Department in the Civil Aviation Authority, where Discussing the possibility of lifting the restrictions imposed on the green bird and the importance of the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority passing the ICAO audit.
    In turn, "the ambassador of the European Union mission to Iraq stressed the need to expedite the implementation of the procedures for lifting the ban on the national carrier in European airspace," praising the efforts made and the tireless efforts of the Ministry of Transport in overcoming obstacles and solving problems in front of this sensitive file to restore confidence in front of European countries and the whole world with the technology and development of lines Iraqi Air.
    It is noteworthy that this meeting came as a complement to the series of ongoing discussions and meetings between the two sides to resolve the crisis of this file, the last of which was the meeting held between airlines and IATA on one side and representatives of the European Union on the other hand, through a virtual meeting on 12/14/2021 and the positive results achieved. .
