Independent MP Ali Al-Jamali confirmed that there is an intention to go to the international courts to compel the countries of the world not to deal with the region as a source of energy, and to prove Iraq’s right to control its resources, pointing out that Kurdistan continues to rebel against decisions and laws.
Al-Jamali told "The Information", "The region continues to rebel against the decisions of the Federal Court and all the paragraphs and articles of the constitution regarding oil and gas, especially since this mineral represents the main resource in addition to the border crossings, where the Barzani family steals it."
He added that "the region's statements regarding energy and its export to Europe will face a reaction from Baghdad, as international courts will be resorted to to prove Iraq's eligibility as a central government to control these resources."
He stressed that "Iraq will not allow it to be a party to the Russian-Ukrainian war, especially with regard to energy supplies to Europe to compensate for the shortfall in Russian exports, whether by exporting energy from the region or through the SOMO company." finished 25
