The Ministry of Defense issued a statement in which it threatened to take legal measures against a political analyst who made statements offensive to the Iraqi army.
The ministry said in a statement that what was said by the so-called Najah Muhammad Ali on one of the Iraqi TV channels is a clear and explicit insult to the military establishment and all its affiliates, pointing out that it will not accept the abuse of this ancient institution that has made sacrifices and heroism since its establishment more than a century ago.
The ministry affirmed that it reserves its legal right to respond and will take all legal measures against him, and that the judiciary will be the arbiter between the two parties, adding that it will not tolerate anyone who insults the Iraqi army.
