    The Parliamentary Oil and Energy Committee revealed, on Monday, the main axes it discussed with Oil Minister Ihsan Abdul-Jabbar during his hosting within the committee, indicating that it demanded to submit a complete paper study of the feasibility of the Basra-Aqaba pipeline project.

    Member of the Committee, Representative Muhammad Al-Shammari, said in a statement to “The Information” that “the Parliamentary Oil and Energy Committee hosted the Minister of Oil, Ihsan Abdul-Jabbar, where they discussed in detail about three axes,” noting that “the axis of the Basra-Aqaba project, which was held by the Al-Kazemi government with the Jordanian side.” It was one of the first files due to its sensitivity and political and popular debate about this contract.”
    Al-Shammari added, “The committee asked the minister to submit a complete paper study of the economic feasibility of the project in relation to the benefit that can be achieved for Iraq, in addition to everything related to the project in terms of maps and implementation mechanisms and to provide it to the committee for study and presentation to specialized experts in order to consult their opinions.”
    He pointed out that "the other two axes were related to the gasoline crisis, its causes, its problems, and the cooperation between the ministry and the owners of private stations, where it was agreed to adopt natural equipment for fumigation resulting from the process of transferring it from warehouses to stations." Ended / 25 AD
