    Information/Baghdad…
MP Yasser Al-Husseini confirmed on Thursday that the Aqaba pipeline project does not have a clear economic feasibility, pointing out that there are many facts that must be presented to the Iraqi public opinion regarding the real objectives of this project.
Al-Hussaini said in an interview with Al-Maalouma, "There are many question marks that the Ministry of Oil must clarify, including the economic feasibility of the project and the reasons for proposing it at this particular time."
He pointed out the "necessity of revealing the facts to public opinion, and clarifying the pressures being exerted on Baghdad to move forward with this project, which will burden the country's treasury with huge debts. He added that the money that will be spent on this project, if it were invested in the industrial and agricultural sectors, would have had much greater benefits."
Ban explained, "The facts he presented during the past months regarding this project come from his belief in the necessity of having the facts present to public opinion when presenting major projects that will cost the country's treasury huge sums of money."
It is noteworthy that the project to extend a pipeline from the Basra fields to Aqaba raises many question marks, in light of accusations by representatives that the Zionist entity will be one of the beneficiaries of this project, which raises more questions. End 25 F
