The British ambassador to Iraq, Mark Bryson Richardson, confirmed today, Monday, that the formation of the new government is an important issue that the Iraqi parties must resolve among themselves.
Richardson expressed his hope that the Iraqis will be able to form the next government quickly because the Iraqi people need a government that is ready to meet the long-term economic, social and security challenges facing the country.
He added, that the UK looks forward to strengthening its relationship with Iraq and working in partnership with the new government to help build a strong and effective Iraq that serves all its citizens.
