Al-Hikma: The framework reproduced the initiative of Al-Hakim and the Triple Alliance, which ordered the end of the political process
Shafaq News/ The Wisdom Movement led by Ammar al-Hakim saw on Thursday that the coordination framework "cloned" its leader's initiative to get out of the blockage in the political process and the delay in the formation of the federal government, despite the passage of several months since the early legislative elections in the country.
The leader in the movement, Rahim Al-Aboudi, told Shafak News Agency, "Al-Hakim put forward an initiative that preceded the initiatives and had a clear mechanism, and we believe that the coordination framework received all of them," expressing his opinion that "the first nine points of the framework initiative are found in a text in Al-Hakim's initiative, except for some verbal change. and linguist."
He added that "the framework reproduced Al-Hakim's initiative and adopted it as a road map according to their statements," noting that "the political dialogue has become a breaking of the will, an undeclared political war, and a coup against the dialogue, and that the period given by the political parties is far from the constitution."
And Al-Aboudi added, by saying that "the tripartite alliance, since the start of the dialogues to form the government, considers itself the order of the political process, and this is not true," warning that "the imposition of political will and the marginalization of others does not build a state and does not lead to the formation of the new government."
After several political initiatives to end the division failed, and the distance between the leader of the Sadrist movement Muqtada al-Sadr, who led the recent elections, and the forces of the coordination framework, an initiative emerged that was put forward by the head of the Wisdom Movement, Ammar al-Hakim, on the eighth of last April, to get out of the crisis that disrupted constitutional entitlements.
In his initiative to resolve intractable crises that prevent a parliamentary session from holding to vote on the President of the Republic and then form a new government, Al-Hakim called on the political forces to sit at the dialogue table, discuss solutions and remedies without preconditions or restrictions, and nominate the major parliamentary bloc that has the right to nominate a prime minister. The upcoming three presidencies, as stipulated in the constitution, resolved the issue of the three presidencies through understandings.
Al-Hakim’s initiative also included the demand for “the distribution of roles, so whoever wishes to participate in the government joins the majority team and commits to supporting the government in the agreed program and announces full responsibility for his participation and decision, and whoever does not wish to participate takes the House of Representatives as a starting point for his constructive opposition,” as he put it. .
He called on what he described as "majority forces" to "pledge to provide a safe cover for the opposition," noting that the opposition should not "disrupt parliament sessions and actively attend in it and allow the majority to complete the constitutional dues."
On Wednesday, the fourth of May, the coordination framework announced the launch of a nine-point political initiative, accompanied by nine commitments to be implemented, similar in some terms to the previous Al-Hakim initiative.
It is noteworthy that the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, launched two initiatives to form the federal government, one of which announced its failure, which he granted to the coordination framework at the beginning of last April, and the other he launched to independent deputies yesterday, Wednesday, giving them 15 days to carry out the task of forming the government in cooperation with the allies in the Triple Alliance (rescuing Watan) from the Kurds and Sunnis without representing the Sadrist bloc as ministers.
The dispute intensified between the two Shiite poles represented by the Sadrist movement, which won the highest votes in the elections that took place last year, and the coordination framework that includes blocs that expressed their rejection of the election results.
The leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, insists on forming a majority government that seeks to exclude the leader of the State of Law coalition, Nuri al-Maliki, who served as prime minister for two terms.
On the tenth of last October, Iraq held early legislative elections to get out of a political crisis that swept the country after large demonstrations in the central and southern regions in 2019 in protest against the widespread unemployment in society, the spread of financial and administrative corruption in government departments and institutions, and the deteriorating reality The service and the livelihood, which prompted the former prime minister, Adel Abdul-Mahdi, to resign under popular pressure.
As soon as the preliminary results of the elections were announced, the voices of political forces and actors rose in their rejection of losing many seats, accusing them of major fraud in the ballot, which was denied by the executive and judicial authorities, at a time when the United Nations and international organizations praised the integrity of the electoral process.
