    Earth News/ The former candidate for the position of prime minister, Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi, said today, Monday, that the decision of the leader of the Sadrist movement to call on his deputies to resign was a "shock", stressing that Iraq is now at a crossroads.
    Allawi wrote in a post seen by Earth News, that "Iraq is at a crossroads after the recent position of His Eminence Muqtada al-Sadr; As for salvation or the end of a state called Iraq,” he added, “I was shocked, as most of our countrymen, after His Eminence Muqtada al-Sadr’s decision to resign from the Sadrist bloc’s parliament, this step that could push the country towards an unknown future and to dangerous levels and chaos.” It is overwhelming and only God knows its repercussions.”
    He continued, "This shock deepened when many political parties dealt with this major event as a fait accompli. Rather, the signs of diagnosing the replacements of the resigned MPs, unaware of the dire consequences of such a dangerous and very dangerous course, began," noting that "following this event, I go to His Eminence Muqtada al-Sadr to reconsider this dangerous step, and I say that this step may serve the interest of the movement in increasing the support of the street that rejects the political process and for many politicians in the interest of the movement.
    Allawi pointed out, "However, this major event will certainly expose Iraq to a grave danger; We have been acquainted with you with courageous stances in the interest of the country in the past when the interest of the movement conflicted with the interest of Iraq, so do not forget your stance regarding the dismissal of the four ministers of the Sadrist movement in 2007 when it became clear to you their corruption. My phone call is with you in your support in rejecting the quotas, contrary to the interest of the movement and the interest of Iraq, and now the interest of Iraq requires that you stay with your movement at the head of the House of Representatives and not cut the hair of Sid with the coordinating framework to reach the minimum subscribers to preserve the country and its future.
    And he added, “I also go to the coordination framework and tell them that the ball is now in your court, and you appreciate the seriousness of the situation, the situation of the country, and the unknown and dangerous future that could face the country in the event that the Sadrist movement withdraws from the political process. You are required to strive hard to reach a common word with His Eminence.” Mr. Muqtada al-Sadr, this is the last chance to save the country.”
    Allawi said, “I also go to the wise reference and His Eminence, Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani, may his shadow last, and I say, you know the reality, the details, and the subtleties of matters. To save the country from a dangerous and unknown future.”
    And he concluded by saying, "We have no choice but to pray to God to reveal this grief on this nation, for He is the best Lord and the best helper."
