    Today, Sunday, the Government Media Cell announced that it had achieved advanced rates of achievement to increase water expenditures in the basins of the Tigris and Euphrates rivers.

    The cell said in a statement, "The engineering and technical staff in the River Creek Works Department / Ministry of Water Resources within the Fallujah site, and in cooperation with the General Authority for the Operation and Maintenance of the Tigris River Basin, are continuing to implement the floating Tharthar pumping station within the work of treating water scarcity and increasing expenditures in the two basins of the Tigris rivers." Euphrates."

    She added, "The stages of work included removing sediments from the pumps basin, removing sediments from a level of (0-40) with a quantity of (45930) m3 with a completion rate of (100%), and burying it in clean soil with drying the pumps basin, strengthening the plug and burying the road from the regulator to the station in Space. With a quantity of (28,621) m3 and a completion rate of (100%), in addition to refining the sides of the canal and the pump trough with a completion rate of (100%).

    She indicated that "the works also included the removal of sediments from the main Tharthar channel, with an amount of (176912) m3, with a completion rate of 26%, and excavation works for the channel carrying the floating Tharthar station, with an amount of (549,900) m3, with a completion rate of 36%, and that the works are continuing. At an increasing pace, within what is planned," referring to "the use of specialized mechanisms, floating excavators, dredgers, standard excavators, long arm excavators, bulldozers, tippers and other supporting mechanisms."
