The Ministry of Finance issued a clarification on what was reported by some media websites regarding the transfer of government bank accounts.
And the ministry said in a statement, "Recently, some media have reported data on the transfer of more than one trillion dinars from one of the government's bank accounts without the Ministry of Finance and Customs entering it into the state treasury."
The statement added, "In this regard, the Ministry would like to emphasize that it has decided in advance to conduct a thorough investigation with the concerned authorities according to the priorities and documents related to the origin of the matter and topics related to the General Authority for Taxes for the purpose of determining the accuracy of this and who are the responsible authorities and addressing the defects contained in this regard at the level of individuals and policies If found, without any retraction or delay, pursuant to the moral and national responsibility and the protection of public money."
The statement continued, "The ministry also indicates that the resigned minister, Dr. Ali Allawi, has worked since the ministry became fatter until his resignation to strike the sources of corruption and dry it up in all parts of the ministry by developing a strategy and plans to automate the ministry's institutions and selecting senior international consultants for these projects, and that the ministry continues to implement these strategies. To achieve the desired goals that will move the Ministry of Finance and its related institutions towards efficient performance and reduce the areas of manipulation and failure.
