State of Law MP Mahmoud al-Salami confirmed today, Friday, that next week a vote of confidence will be given to the government of Prime Minister-designate Muhammad Shiaa al-Sudani, while pointing to the birth of a new phase that restores the citizen’s confidence in the government.
Al-Salami said in a press statement, "Next week is the week of decisiveness and the announcement of the birth of a new phase that restores the citizen's confidence in the government," noting that "the framework agreement with Al-Sudani includes giving him full authority to choose his cabinet."
Al-Salami pointed out that "Al-Sudani's mandate by the framework to choose his cabinet is a precedent that did not occur in the formation of previous governments."
