[size=45]The US Consulate General in Erbil announced, on Thursday, the date of the opening of its new headquarters during the month of March 2024.[/size]
[size=45]The headquarters, which covers an area of 51 acres, includes housing for employees and places dedicated to all the necessities related to the activities of the Consulate, in addition to restaurants and markets.[/size]
[size=45]The consulate confirmed that the design of its new headquarters reflects the environment of the Kurdistan Region, as well as the cultural differences in Iraq, and the ancient history of the capital, Erbil.[/size]
[size=45]"Attention has been paid to the general environment of the headquarters, such as workplaces and entertainment halls," the consulate said on its official page.[/size]
[size=45]"The headquarters will contribute to softening the atmosphere for the neighboring areas, due to the expansion of green spaces and dense trees," she added.[/size]
[size=45]The Consulate General in Erbil stressed the US State Department's plan to open the headquarters in March 2024.[/size]
[size=45]It indicated that it is working to close the current headquarters located in Ainkawa, cancel the rental contracts for the homes of its employees, and secure housing for them inside the new headquarters, which was built at the expense of the US State Department.[/size]
