Shafaq News/ The presidency of the Iraqi parliament will hold a meeting this evening, Thursday, to consider the request of the Prime Minister-designate, Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani, to hold a session of granting confidence tomorrow, Thursday.
A parliamentary source told Shafaq News Agency, "The request of the commissioner, Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, to the presidency of the House of Representatives regarding holding a session of granting confidence to his government tomorrow, Thursday, is not obligatory," explaining that "it is not the right of the Prime Minister-designate to set a date for the session to be held on the presidency of Parliament." .
He added, "The Presidency of the Parliament will hold a meeting this evening to consider the request of the commissioner, Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, to hold a session tomorrow, Thursday," noting that "in the event that a member of the Presidency of the Parliament refuses, the session of granting confidence to the Sudanese government will be postponed until next week."
And he indicated, "The Presidency of Parliament is the only body that determines the day and time for the sessions."
Today, Wednesday, Al-Sudani announced a “final audit” of the names of his government booth, stressing that they will be presented tomorrow.
And an official letter showed a request submitted by Al-Sudani, to set a session for tomorrow, Thursday, as the date for presenting his cabinet formation to the Iraqi parliament.
A leader in the coordination framework revealed, to Shafaq News, that the meeting of the leaders of the coordination framework ended yesterday evening, Tuesday, with an agreement to invite the House of Representatives to hold a session on Thursday to vote on granting confidence to the government of designate Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani.
He explained that Al-Sudani will present the ministerial cabinet to Parliament, which contains 16 candidates for ministerial portfolios out of 22 ministries.
