Iraq takes security precautions to confront the time bomb and announces the immediate dismantling of the most dangerous camp

Yesterday, Monday, a member of the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee, Ali Niama, confirmed that the actual dismantling of the Syrian Al-Hawl camp had begun, while indicating that the Iraqi government had taken three security precautions regarding this file.
Nimah said in a press statement, “Al-Hawl camp has been defined as a time bomb and represents direct challenges to the security of Iraq and the region,” stressing that “the presence of the camp is like a multi-faceted agenda and a card in the hands of those who do not want stability in the region,” asking, “What is the benefit of having camps?” It includes terrorist families.”
Nimah added, “The view of international opinion has changed towards Al-Hawl camp, and several countries have begun to open up and interact with the vision presented by Iraq regarding its danger, which prompted the gradual start of its dismantling through the response of international capitals in transporting their nationals with meals to avoid the emergence of other generations of extremism.”
He pointed out that “Iraq has taken three security precautions to confront the Al-Hol file, the most prominent of which is fortifying the border and taking all preventive measures by activating the intelligence effort in the border areas in order to cut off any path of communication or infiltration, in addition to putting pressure towards recovering the most hardened terrorists who hold Iraqi citizenship and bringing them to justice.” .
On Friday (May 10, 2024), a member of the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee, Representative Waad Al-Qaddo, confirmed that there are three positives to starting to withdraw foreigners from the Al-Hawl border camp.
Al-Qaddo said in a previous press statement, “The Syrian Al-Hawl camp has been defined as a human bomb that directly threatens the security of all countries in the Middle East region, including Iraq, as it includes extremists belonging to approximately 60 countries.”
Al-Qaddo added, “Iraq has realized the danger of the Syrian Al-Hawl camp since its establishment because it carries a multiple agenda that primarily targets security and stability in the region, and Baghdad is the most affected,” stressing that “Iraq played a role in pushing several countries to transfer their nationals,” noting that “the openness of some countries and the transfer of Its citizens mean the beginning of the end of the Syrian Al-Hawl camp, whose file we hope will end and not turn into another card to threaten Iraq’s security, especially since it includes thousands of families, some of whom still believe in the ideology of the extremist organization.”
He continued, “There are three positives to withdrawing foreigners from the camp, the first of which is the beginning of dismantling the problem, creating a global opinion of the necessity of withdrawing nationals, and eliminating an environment that creates extremism, which will not stop at specific geographical borders, but rather represents a threat to all countries because terrorism is a cancer.”
It is noteworthy that National Security Advisor Qasim Al-Araji announced, on Friday (May 10, 2024), the start of the withdrawal of foreign nationals from the Syrian Al-Hawl camp, which includes nationals of 60 countries.
Al-Araji confirmed in a blog post on the “X” website, “In Al-Hawl camp there are ISIS families from 60 countries,” noting that “after Iraq’s continued efforts, 24 countries began the process of withdrawing their nationals, including Russia, which recently withdrew (32) children (12 girls and 20 Boy) between the ages of (5-17 years), calling on countries to withdraw their nationals in preparation for closing it.
