Sadad Barzani won the highest number of votes of the members of the 14th Congress of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (823 votes).[/size]

    the changes brought about by the 14th Congress of the Kurdistan Democratic Party[/size]
    [size=45]For the first time, two vice-chairmen of the party were elected, Nechirvan Barzani as first deputy and Masrour Barzani as second vice-president, and the party's leadership council was abandoned to be replaced by the Central Committee.[/size]
    [size=45]During the conference, a new apparatus was created in the party under the name of “the Council of Strugglers” and it consisted of “elderly leaders and prominent militants in the party whose age might prevent them from working as they should in other agencies,” so they are organized in this apparatus.[/size]
    [size=45]The conference also abolished the position of party secretary and formed the working body of the Politburo, which is managed by the official of the working body.[/size]
    [size=45]Reducing the number of members working in the KDP's local branches and committees was another one of the changes made by the conference. The number of working members in each branch became six, and each local committee had four working members.[/size]
