The Ministry of Oil announced, on Tuesday, the determination of the price of the exported oil for the next month, while Minister Hayan Abdul-Ghani affirmed that Iraq is with the agreements that achieve more stability and balance for the oil markets.
The ministry said in a statement, "Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Oil Hayan Abdul-Ghani chaired today the monthly meeting of Iraqi oil pricing, in the presence of the ministry's undersecretaries, the general manager of the Oil Marketing Company (SOMO), the companies, departments and concerned authorities, and the director of the media office."
Abdul-Ghani stressed, "Iraq is following with interest the developments of the oil market, and the daily changes due to the conditions and challenges facing the world," pointing to "communication with members of OPEC and OPEC Plus and reviewing reports in this regard."
And he continued, "Iraq is with the agreements that achieve more stability and balance for the oil markets, and reduce the decline in the price of the barrel," stressing that "Iraq relies in pricing its oil on the most accurate economic and marketing standards that guarantee obtaining the best prices, in addition to respecting its pledges and obligations with Customers and companies dealing with Iraqi oil.
And it was decided at the meeting, "the pricing of Iraqi oil for the next month, after reviewing and discussing technical and research reports in this field."
