    BAGHDAD / NINA / US State Department revealed that non-government funding from Gulf States reached to extremist and terrorist groups in Iraq.

    Deputy spokeswoman for American State Department, Marie Harff explained in news conference in Washington that "there is special funding (non-government) comes from some countries to extremist groups; mainly from the Gulf," adding that "the Gulf States is very concerned about this (funding)."

    She added, "We are working with them (Gulf countries) to prohibit the financing of these nets, including on the Internet", describing it as a "common problem and difficult challenge."

    She pointed out that "the Mufti of Saudi Arabia denounced the actions of (the organization of the Islamic State) ", and considered the organization "not related to Islam."

    The Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia Abdul Aziz Al-Sheikh issued a statement last month, considering the Islamic State and al-Qaeda, "an extension of the Kharijites who were the first band that got out from the Islamic."/ end
