    Shafaq News/ The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, the Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani, ordered, on Saturday, a comprehensive assessment of all Iraqi intelligence leaders, stressing the development of the intelligence system and avoiding security breaches.



    Al-Sudani's media office stated in a statement received by Shafaq News agency, that the latter chaired the periodic meeting of the National Intelligence Coordination Authority, in the presence of the National Security Adviser, the Army Chief of Staff, the Deputy Commander of Joint Operations, and the leaders of intelligence agencies. The meeting discussed the reality of the intelligence services for the year 2022, and the available capabilities that It enables it to develop its level of performance, identify priorities for intelligence work for the next year, as well as review the most important problems and ways to overcome them.
    Al-Sudani confirmed a comprehensive assessment of the performance of all leaders working in the intelligence sector, stressing that intelligence work is a specialized work that needs quality, not quantity.
    Al-Sudani directed all concerned leaders to work to develop the intelligence system, in a way that helps in taking the necessary measures. To avoid security breaches and implement qualitative proactive operations.
    He praised the sacrifices of the intelligence men, and the great role played by their services in pursuing the remnants of terrorist groups and organized crime and drug gangs, and their efforts in the qualitative operations that were achieved a few days ago.
    He stressed the need to provide full support to the intelligence services in order to develop technical and human capabilities, and directed the need to enhance cooperation and high coordination through integration and joint action.
