    Shafaq News/ The Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani, expressed, on Saturday, Iraq's desire to consolidate cooperation with the United States of America in the field of combating terrorism.
    This came during his meeting at his residence, before noon today, Saturday, with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, on the sidelines of Al-Sudani's participation in the 59th session of the Munich Security Conference, according to a statement issued by the Iraqi government.



    The statement stated that the meeting witnessed discussions on the files of bilateral relations, and ways to strengthen and develop them at various levels and fields, in a way that enhances Iraq's ability to face economic challenges and development requirements.
    Al-Sudani affirmed that Iraq gives special priority to economic reforms, the government's focus on developing the energy sector, and the establishment of development and investment partnerships in the gas sector.
    The Prime Minister also made clear Iraq's desire to consolidate cooperation with the United States to combat terrorism, within the framework of providing training, advice and information exchange for the Iraqi security forces, in a manner that preserves Iraq's sovereignty and independence, stressing that the government puts the goal of establishing balanced relations at the forefront, in addition to the importance of the Iraqi role. in stabilizing the region.
    For his part, Blinken praised the Iraqi government's plans for reform and development, and gave the energy sector a priority in work and development.
    He affirmed the US government's appreciation of Iraq's regional role in stabilizing stability, and reaffirmed support for the Iraqi government in its progressive, reform and development plans in various fields and fields.
