    Today, Wednesday, the Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia'a Al-Sudani, chaired a meeting of the team specialized in checking customs exemptions, stressing that every correct and meaningful action taken will be faced with an escalation by the affected parties.
    A statement by his media office stated that “Al-Sudani chaired, today, a meeting of the team concerned with customs exemptions, which was formed by the decision of the Council of Ministers in its session held on January 17, and composed of the Director General of the Legal Department in the Federal Office of Financial Supervision, the Director General of Legal in the Investment Authority and the Director of General government contracts in the Ministry of Planning.
    The statement added, “Al-Sudani was briefed on the mechanism of the team’s work with regard to customs exemptions that were taken in accordance with the approved contexts approved by the Council of Ministers, and the follow-up of the exempted materials to the beneficiaries from the ministries and the private sector and ensuring that they are not leaked to the market, in cooperation with the investigations and anti-smuggling department in the authority.” General Customs, as well as discussing the most important obstacles that accompanied the work of the team and ways to overcome them.
    The Prime Minister praised the team's work and efforts, stressing that every correct and meaningful action taken will be faced with an escalation by the affected parties.


    He stressed the need to move forward and overcome obstacles.
    He stressed, “Supporting the audit team and providing it with all facilities, to expand its work and follow up with the Investment and Industrial Development Authority to follow up on the project.”
    According to the statement, “the meeting witnessed the adoption of a number of decisions, the most important of which are; Develop a classification of materials according to their importance, and form an initial audit committee in the ministries to expedite work.
    He continued, "The meeting also discussed the needs of the electronic permit project, network connectivity, ways to monitor the necessary allocations, and the time period for completion."
