    Erbil (Kurdistan 24) - The Kurdistan Region is looking forward to attracting more foreign capital after facilitating entry visa procedures for foreign visitors.
    The region has already launched the electronic visa portal, which is one of the electronic projects that the Kurdistan government is seeking to build in the future as part of the electronic transformation process.
    And the website of the Kurdistan Regional Government quoted Hiwa Effendi, the head of the Information Department, to the official government website, [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] "Visitors will be able to obtain an entry visa in a few minutes, pay its fees at the same time, and then the visa will reach their e-mail in a very short period."
    The electronic portal was made available to those wishing from all over the world to visit the Kurdistan Region for tourism, business or investment purposes, which makes applying for a visa an easy and fast process.
    Effendi added, "The main objective of this system is to provide the necessary facilities to attract foreign capital to the Kurdistan Region."
    According to the Kurdistan Region Ministry of Interior, which supervises the electronic visa system, the available portal includes several features, all of which were launched with local capabilities.
    "From now on, those wishing to visit the Kurdistan Region, whether they are individuals, companies or delegations, can submit their requests through this system and through the government portal to obtain a visa... in one step," said Director General of the Interior Ministry Diwan Hemin Mirani.
    The Kurdistan Regional Government website stated that the facilities provided and the modernization of the visit system to the Kurdistan Region is a step that will reflect positively on the tourism and investment sectors, in addition to benefiting from the data of this portal, which makes the entry system to the Kurdistan Region modern.
    Through this system, foreigners can, from their places, apply for a visa and pay for it electronically, and after approval, they can visit the Kurdistan Region, as mentioned by the same website.
