    Shafaq News/ The Minister of Culture and Youth in Kurdistan Region, Muhammad Hama Saeed, expressed, on Sunday, his regret for not implementing the official languages ​​law approved by the Iraqi federal parliament and the Kurdistan Region Parliament in 2014.
    Saeed's talk came during the Kurdish language conference in Erbil, which was about the language of media and commercial advertisements in the Kurdistan Region.



    Saeed said during the conference, which was attended by the Shafaq News Agency reporter, "The law of the Ministry of Culture and Youth, which was issued by the Kurdistan Parliament, entrusted the task of the Kurdish language and the languages ​​of other components and preserving it to the ministry," explaining that "the ministry considers the issue of preserving the language as one of the duties entrusted to it, and it has not She fell short in this aspect and did what was required of her as much as possible."
    He added, "The Iraqi constitution for the year 2005 recognized the Kurdish language and the languages ​​of the components as an official language, and in the light of this constitution, and in the year 2014 the Parliament issued the Official Languages ​​Law, which confirms the plurality of languages ​​in Iraq. At the end of the same year, the Kurdistan Parliament approved the Official Languages ​​Law as well, and regulated how to deal with the language on the All levels, but unfortunately the laws and decisions related to the language were not applied in the Kurdistan Region and the rest of Iraq alike and were neglected.
    The Kurdistan Minister of Culture said, "There is no doubt that the failure to implement the law of official languages ​​in the Kurdistan Region is a mistake that we bear, so the Ministry of Culture and other government institutions and departments must work seriously within this field."
